A typical day at #AAF22
We keep saying it but this year's festival really is going to be bigger and better than before. Just in case you are yet to be convinced, we thought we’d paint you the perfect picture of what to expect from a day at #AAF22.
07:00 - Unzip that tent. Pop on your stove and sip a strong cup of coffee while you watch the sunrise over Plymouth Sound. We’ve rejuggled the festival layout for this year, which means there is room for much more flat camping and plenty of quiet spots to ensure you are refreshed and ready to start the day!
07:30 - Take a five minute potter down to the beach and jump in the ocean. There's nothing like a cold water swim to start the day and it’s the perfect hangover cure if you think you may have spent too long at ‘The Three Wheels’ festival pub the night before…
08:30 - Head off down to Adventure Avenue for a spot of breakfast. If the coffee and the ocean haven't got rid of that hangover then a bacon roll should do it!
09:30 - Head to a workshop, this maybe the perfect time to learn all about wild camping or perhaps you'll join a foraging course.
11:00 - Head to the Main Stage for some inspiration. Maybe you'll hear about what it's like walking the whole coast of Britain or having multiple Guinness World Records for paddleboarding!
12:00 - Peruse the stalls on Adventure Alley. Grab some of the coolest adventure kit on the market from some of our trade stand holders or head to the Armchair Amphitheater to watch an adventure film!
13:00 - Time for an adventure of your own. Head back down to Barn Pool, if you're a paddle your own canoe kind of person, do exactly that and join an organised kayaking trip along the coastline or up the Tamar Estuary... Last year, almost anyone who headed to the beach saw dolphins and this year, we're predicting whales!
15:00 - Time for an Armchair Ale! You've had an adventurous day! Head to The Three Wheels Festival Pub for an afternoon refreshment!
17:00 - Back to the Main Stage for another talk, check out our list of speakers for who you might hear from, it could be John Hudson the UK's military survival instructor or Elspeth Beard chatting about her round the world trip!
20:30 - Time to dance the night away with some incredible live music. This year, there will be even more live music from some truely incredible bands including Andy Quick Band, Martin Harley, The Cabarats and more!
What a fantastic day that will be! And we didn't even mention the possibility of taking out a mountain bike, joining one of the festival yoga sessions or heading off sailing with Conrad Humphreys! This years Armchair Adventure Festival will certainly be one to remember, if you are looking for a way to see out the summer then we strongly recommend you join us for it! Tickets are on sale now. Grab yours before it's too late here!
If you didn't join us for last years festival, check out the below video for all the highlights from last year.
