A typical day at The Armchair Adventure Festival

The ultimate staycation.

There's only a week to go until early bird tickets end so we thought it would be a good idea to let you know what you can expect from a typical day at The Armchair Adventure Festival:

07:00 - Unzip that tent. Pop on your stove and sip a strong cup coffee while you watch the sun rise over Plymouth Sound

07:30 - Take a five minute potter down to the beach and jump in the ocean. There's nothing like a cold water swim to start the day! (Jump in the hot showers on your return to camp - included in price)

08:30 - Head off down to Adventure Avenue for a spot of breakfast. If the coffee and the ocean haven't got rid of that hangover then a bacon roll should do it!

09:30 - Time for adventure school! Head to a workshop on adventure travel film making or maybe you'll join a foraging course.

Join a workshop and learn some key skills for your adventures. Like map reading!

11:00 - Head to the Main Stage for some inspiration. Maybe you'll catch a talk about living with a Bedouin tribe in Sinai or traveling through a Siberian winter by scooter and sidecar.

12:00 - Peruse the stalls on Adventure Alley. Grab some of the coolest adventure kit on the market from some of our trade stand holders, find out about modern slavery from our chosen charity or buy a signed book from your favourite travel author! Then grab an award winning traditional Cornish pasty for your lunch!

13:00 - Time for an adventure of your own. Head back down to Barn Pool beach and hop aboard 'Bounty' for a sail to Drake's Island with around the world yachtsman Conrad Humphreys. Or if you're more of a paddle your own canoe kind of person, do exactly that and join an organised kayaking trip along the coastline or up the Tamar Estuary..

Explore ancient smugglers coves by kayak and paddle board

15:00 - Pimms o'clock! You've had an adventurous day! Head to The Three Wheels Festival Pub for an afternoon refreshment!

17:00 - Back to the Main Stage for another talk. Perhaps this one is from Ash Bhardwaj and he's talking about walking the Nile with Levison Wood or maybe Elspeth Beard is chatting about riding around the world on a motorbike in the 1980's.

18:00 - Time for some more award winning food. Did somebody say barbecue?

19:00 - Grab a pint and chill by the campfire with a live podcast recording from Jay Worthy.

Listen to Conrad Humphrey's talk about recreating Captain William Bligh's epic story of survival for Channel 4

21:00 - Time to dance the night away with some of the South West's best music. We can't drop the line up yet because of contracts but trust us It's All Yellow... joking, we haven't booked Coldplay but if you're local it is a big drop!

What a day that is! And you didn't even get the chance to hit the mountain bike trails or join postie bike tour of the area with Nathan Millward!

Get access to all of that for just £99 for a full weekend camping pass which gets you onsite from the Thursday night so three nights of adventure!

Early bird tickets end in less than a week! Price includes all talks, some activities and camping. Pints, pasties and other activities cost extra but we are keeping them as cheap as possible! Grab your tickets here and don't miss out!
