Over the years, the Armchair Adventure Festival (AAF) has welcomed some of the boldest, bravest and most inspiring adventurers from around the world — folks who’ve ridden across continents, rowed oceans, traversed deserts, cycled wilderness, and walked coastlines. Their stories have lifted us off the sofa and planted seeds of wanderlust, grit, hope and imagination.

As we look ahead to AAF26 and beyond, we wanted a way to honour those who’ve shaped our festival’s spirit — and maybe show you a few legends you missed first time round. So today we’re launching “Armchair Legends”: a regular spotlight series shining a light on unforgettable AAF speakers — their adventures, their lessons, and their magic.

Expect stories of grit and laughter, failures and triumphs, big dreams and quiet resolve. Expect inspiration. Expect to feel restless for your next trip. 🗺️
