Getting There

Mount Edgcumbe Country Park

Cremyll

Torpoint

PL10 1HZ

As you get close to Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, you’ll see festival signs guiding you the rest of the way.

You can reach the festival either via the Torpoint Ferry from Plymouth or across the Tamar Bridge. Both routes are straightforward when following your sat nav until you reach the B3247.

🚙 Standard Cars & Small Campervans

If you’re travelling in a car or standard-sized campervan, simply follow the B3247 all the way to the festival. The route passes through Millbrook, where there is a short section of narrow road, but it is suitable for normal-sized vehicles.

🚐 Large Motorhomes & Oversized Vehicles

If you’re travelling in a larger vehicle, please do not drive through Millbrook, as the roads are too narrow.Instead, leave the B3247 at Military Road and continue via Cawsand, Kingsand and Maker Lane to reach Mount Edgcumbe. If you’re unsure whether your vehicle is suitable for narrow country lanes, we strongly recommend following this route.

⛺ Choosing Your Camping Area

When you arrive, our team will point you in the right direction. There are two different camping areas, each with its own reception point, so it’s worth having a look beforehand and deciding which area suits you best.

🌿 Barrow Field Camping

If you’d like to be right in the heart of the festival, this is the place to be.

You’ll be camping around the main festival site, with easy access to the stages, talks, workshops, food village and everything else happening throughout the weekend.

There are separate areas for:

  • ⛺ Tents only

  • 🚐 Live-in vehicles only

  • ⛺🚐 Mixed camping (tents and live-in vehicles)

Arriving with a tent

If you’re camping in a tent, you’ll be able to drive in to unload your gear before moving your vehicle to the nearby festival car park. Please note that cars cannot remain parked next to tents in the main festival camping area. Motorbikes are permitted next to tents.

Mixed camping

Spaces in the mixed camping area are limited. For safety, live-in vehicles must be parked downhill from tents.

Glamping at Main Festival Camping

Our luxury glamping options are also available here, putting you right in the heart of the action. You’ll be just moments from the main festival site and close to the stages, making this the perfect option if you want to be near the buzz of the weekend.

Please note that glamping guests will need to park their vehicles in the festival car park rather than directly beside their accommodation.

If you have a preference for your glamping location or bed setup (for example, double or single beds), please email contact@armchairadventurefestival.com and we’ll do our best to arrange this for you.

🦌 Deer Park Camping

If you’d prefer a little more space and a quieter campsite, Deer Park could be the perfect choice.

This new camping area is flat, spacious and suitable for both tents and campervans.

One of its biggest advantages is that you can camp next to your vehicle, making it ideal for families, groups, or friends arriving with a mixture of tents and campervans.

It’s only a short, signposted walk to the main festival site and has its own toilets, showers and dedicated reception.

If your group is arriving at different times and you’d like the best chance of camping together, we’d recommend choosing Deer Park.

Glamping at Deer Park

Our glamping options are also available in Deer Park, offering a quieter and more spacious camping experience while still being close enough to walk to all the festival action.

This is a great option if you’d like a little more room, easier access to your vehicle and a more relaxed campsite atmosphere.

If you have a preference for your glamping location or bed setup (for example, double or single beds), please email contact@armchairadventurefestival.com and we’ll do our best to arrange this for you.

🧹 Housekeeping Information

To help everyone enjoy the festival and keep this beautiful location looking its best:

🔥 Campfires are not permitted anywhere on site.

🍳 Gas cooking stoves are welcome for cooking.

🐕‍🦺 Dogs are welcome, but they must be kept on a lead at all times. Please remember to clean up after your dog.

🚿 Toilets and showers are free to use throughout the festival. Please note there is no campervan waste disposal available, so please use the facilities provided.

💦 Fresh water is available on site.

🧹 Please take your rubbish to the bins provided and leave your camping area clean and tidy.

Thank you for helping us look after the site and make the festival enjoyable for everyone.

🍔 Food & Drink at the Festival

You’re very welcome to bring your own food and drink to the festival.

However, we’d also love you to support our amazing food vendors and The Three Wheels Festival Pub throughout the weekend.

All of our food vendors and the pub help support the festival, so every pound you spend with them helps us continue creating future events.

Please note that you’re welcome to bring your own drinks to enjoy at your campsite, but please do not bring your own drinks into or around the festival pub area.

🚐 Live-in Vehicle Information

If you’re bringing a campervan, motorhome or other live-in vehicle, here are a few important things to know before you arrive:

⛰️ Pitching & uneven ground

Please bring levelling blocks, chocks or whatever equipment you normally use to help with a sloped pitch.

We are camping on Mount Edgcumbe — and it really is a mount! While we’ve planned the layout to provide as many flat pitches as possible, some vehicles may be parked on a slope. The upside? The views are pretty spectacular! (See Deer Park Camping detailed above for flat camping)

💩 Chemical toilets & waste disposal

Please note there are no facilities for emptying chemical toilets on site. You’re very welcome to use our free toilets and shower facilities throughout the festival (and in both Deer Park Camping and Barrow Field Camping), but chemical toilets must not be emptied into the festival toilets.

Anyone found doing so will be asked to leave the festival.

🔌 Electric hook-ups

There are no electrical hook-ups available on site, so please plan accordingly.

Awnings, tents & camping with friends

Awnings are welcome alongside your live-in vehicle. However, tents are not permitted in the dedicated live-in vehicle camping areas.

This is for safety reasons, as having vehicles and tents together can create additional risks, particularly on sloped ground.

If you’d like to camp near friends who are arriving with tents, Deer Park Camping has dedicated mixed camping areas available, making it a great option for groups arriving with a combination of tents and live-in vehicles.

There are also limited mixed camping spaces available at Barrow Field Camping, which will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please let our team know when you arrive and they’ll be happy to point you towards the most suitable area.

Please note: in mixed camping areas, live-in vehicles must not be parked uphill from tents due to safety reasons. Our team may ask you to move your vehicle if needed.

🔥 Campfires

Individual campfires are not permitted anywhere on site, including off-the-ground fire pits. Mount Edgcumbe is a beautiful natural site and has experienced wildfires in the past, so we need to protect the area and keep everyone safe.

🍳 Cooking

Gas camping stoves are welcome for cooking.
