£1,000 grant funding awarded for young adventurers!

#GetOutDoStuff Young Adventurers grant is awarded to the Chicks!

We're really excited to announce our winners for this year's #GetOutDoStuff Young Adventurers Award are the Chicks! Evan (18), Gracie (20) and Irys (17) are planning to circumnavigate Scotland's fourth largest loch, Loch Shiel. The team of intrepid siblings will take their 100 year old canoe from their family home in Essex all the way to shores of Loch Shiel for the adventure of a lifetime.

Their goal with the expedition is to inspire more young people to get involved in adventure and #GetOutDoStuff as well as prove that you don't need to have big budgets or travel internationally to have big adventures! They will be making a documentary about the adventure so stay tuned for that!

Watch the below video to meet the team!

You can follow their journey on Armchair Adventure Festival social media channels as well as Evan's insta @junior_survivor.

This award was made possible as a result of funding from the Change Your World Fund, a grant set up in memory of Alistair Farland.
