Mental Health Motorbike is coming to Bootcamp!

We’re really excited to announce that Mental Health Motorbike will be coming along to the Armchair Adventure Bootcamp!

The Armchair Adventure Festival was born out of trying to keep everyone entertained and positive for a future full of adventure once lockdown is over but we, along with most of the country, thought we would only be doing that for a month or two in the spring of 2020. Now, nine months later, armchair adventures are still more relevant than we would like them to be! After all, we love an armchair adventure but can’t wait until a time when they’re optional!

It would be understandable if the pandemic might be starting to have an impact on your mental health so we thought it would be a good idea to invite along an organisation to Bootcamp which can help if you’re struggling.

Mental Health Motorbike is a brilliant organisation which aims to reduce the suicide rates amongst bikers in the UK. They aim to do this through creating meaningful opportunities to grow the wellbeing of the motorbike community. The Mental Health Motorbike team will have their own tent on the festival map where you’ll be able to learn more about the cause and reach out if you are struggling with your own mental health during these weird times. Obviously, the organisation is tailored towards helping bikers but don’t worry they won’t be checking that you’ve passed your CBT on the door – they’ll be there to help anybody who needs it!

Inside the tent, the team will be promoting a number of their brilliant initiatives including their pioneering mental health first aiders scheme. The aim is to have a Mental Health first aider in every town and city across the UK and with many bikers already trained and in-training the organisation is well on it’s way to achieving that goal.
